FAQ

Common Questions

Everything you need to know about our seeds, growing guides, and seed saving.

Absolutely. We take the Safe Seed Pledge and every variety we sell is non-GMO, open-pollinated, and untreated. We source from trusted growers and conduct rigorous testing. You can save seeds from your harvest and they will grow true to type.
Heirloom seeds are open-pollinated varieties that have been passed down for at least 50 years. They grow true to type, meaning seeds saved from this year's harvest will produce the same plant next year. Hybrids are crosses between two varieties and don't grow true from saved seed.
Store seeds in a cool, dry, dark place. Ideal conditions are 40-50°F with low humidity. Our seed packets are designed for short-term storage. For long-term preservation, use our seed saving kits with airtight containers and desiccant packets. Most seeds remain viable for 3-5 years when stored properly.
Yes! We offer wholesale accounts for market farmers, community gardens, and seed libraries. Bulk pricing starts at 10+ packets of any single variety. We also offer custom seed collections and growing plan consultations for commercial growers.
Timing varies by region and variety. Every seed packet includes specific planting dates. We also offer free regional planting calendars on our website. As a general rule, start warm-season crops indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost, and direct sow cool-season crops 2-4 weeks before last frost.
We test every seed lot and guarantee a minimum 95% germination rate at the time of shipping. If you experience significantly lower germination, contact us with your lot number and we'll replace or refund your order. We include planting tips to help ensure the best results.
